A Simple Way to Create a Peaceful Life


Let’s talk about stress and how it affects us throughout the day. Stress varies in nature and has different physiological and social dimensions. Accumulating a lot of stress in a long term finally leads to getting diseases. So it is beneficial for us to find a way for a stress-free living, if we want to be healthy and happy. As to me, my life was (and still is from time to time) ruled by the logical mind: if I could not explain something in a logical way, I could rarely accept it or would try to do it no matter what I could achieve – thus I was constantly neglecting useful new things, which were coming into my life, just because they did not seem logical to my mind.

I completed many courses and trainings in personal development and growth, but mainly from my self-observation work and by my own experience I have found out the best practices for me at any given moment. After working in the fitness industry for many years as an aerobic and callanetic instructor and after doing different physical complexes and dancing workouts, I found out that every woman was unique and could easily achieve her own results in creating her desired body shape and lifestyle. For example, I revealed one of my biggest stressors  in life – my incapability to ask for and receive help – at a seminar where I was working with my entire mind-body-spirit set and was doing powerful meditations guided by a very passionate coach. When we were doing a logical exercise and the game was almost over, I was very angry because the teacher told us that it is good to see the result exactly the way he saw it.

I could see the answer on my own, but not according to his recommendations, so I felt very confused because I wanted to finish the game “my way”. I felt very unsatisfied when the teacher came near me and asked me whether I had problems with asking and receiving one’s help. He is a doctor in psychology and has helped many families and difficult children and his background and behavior made me feel angry and out of control most of the time. I would like to mention that this training was a gift from a friend of mine and I was not quite sure if it was the right decision for me at that moment.

Now I am sure that this was one of my best transformational practice courses because it helped me understand what things I had to change within myself in order to live a better life. I knew I had problems with asking and receiving help; I usually wanted to do all things in my life alone and in a way I founded appropriate for me at that time. I had to accept that I had the “ask for help “ issue and had to do some conscious efforts on that particular training after I had understood that it was time for me to make this transformation in order to live a better life. This seminar was my turning point and I really understood what the teacher was talking about. The real truth at that moment about my motto in life was expressed by this statement, “I am going to  do it myself, so it should be my way!”

My logical mind played the game in my head and the record goes on and on, whispering to me some thoughts like these: “He is a doctor and a well known specialist all over the world. He makes courses and trainings in different countries and works as a family facilitator for people having difficulties with their kids, so who AM I to argue with him”. As always I felt respect to that person who was a well known authority in the field of phychology, personal development and growth.

The top of the iceberg was that he was also an Egyptian – so all my barriers were built up and I felt the way I was sabotaging myself in a very powerful way, instead of surrendering and trying to work with the “asking and receiving help issue”. I still have this issue from time to time but now I know that this is one of my life lessons and I have to surrender and ask for help instead of doing all the things alone and in my own way. I start to practice “the art of asking and receiving help” and I always feel rewarded, especially when help reaches me at the right time and in the right proportion.

Do you know how much time and energy you waste when you try to do all things in life alone? Do you know that by doing this you bring more and more stressors into your life and that you have to deal with all this stuff on a daily basis? Nobody knows all answers and there is no way to protect yourself from making mistakes, so there is no need to ”sabotage ”yourself and your life journey. That is the importance of the network support and community work. I worked with different mentors to find out that it is very useful to be a participant in a group of people who share different perspectives and points of view, then be among people who think and act like you and who can support you in showing up their own way to handle with all the stuff they have to handle throughout their journey.

So, I highly recommend you to ask for and to receive support in a complicated situation or when you have a relationship problems with a difficult person, because this way you can benefit from other people experience. I do not suggest here that other people can solve the problem you have in life, but you can benefit from their support and different points of view to your issue. However,  remember: the final decision is yours as always, because when it comes to your life, you are responsible for it and you are the most important person in it as you play the main role in your live-movie!

Others may help you see the entire situation with that particular issue from a different perspective; they can offer you their support and understanding, but of course, you do not need anybody else’s approval when it comes to solving your own issues on the planet Earth. You may trust your intuition and ask for its support because that quiet voice within yourself knows the needed answer and what is best for you right now. Feel free to “collect and observe” all received answers and support, but have in mind that the only one that matters and bears responsibility is you.

Now it is an action time for you, so start asking for help and be ready to receive it, if you want to master your life and behavior in this new upcoming world of the human evolution. This process of co-operation with others will master your life, bring you more time for yourself, for your family and friends, and it will help you improve your development in any field of life, so as to have peaceful and joyful days ahead.
